  1. TL;DR: It would mean electing a co-conspirator to the January 6th insurrection to be third in line to the presidency.

  2. A vindictive, stupid, spineless person is a scary person to have in charge of an already chaotic party deciding budgets and funding.

  3. As if gym could get the votes

It took McCarthy how many times and how many deals to get the speakership?

  4. god help us if Gym Jordan ever gets that close to the presidency.

  5. Oh yeah, the woman who voted with Donald Trump and the rest of the Republican Party 93% of the time. She helped build this monster. She’s a republican, and that means she’s a bigoted transphobic power hungry homophobic monster. She may be right about Jim Jordan but she’s still a monster. She disowned her own lesbian sister in the pursuit of power and need to tow the party line of homosexuality = not human. She only about 1% better than Jim Jordan and that’s not really an improvement.

  6. Well, at least we know we would have the separation of jerk and jacket.

  7. I agree with her.
I wish the Democrats could form a coalition with some Republicans….. to elect a moderate non-MAGA, non-Trump endorsed, non-impeachment-inquiry seeking Republican

We need like a Murkowski equivalent in the House

  8. Trump gives courage to others. I’m surprised they don’t come out of the closet, while wearing furry suits, and smearing jelly on themselves. They are that silly.

A positive side effect of how outrageous these Republicans are acting, is that it shows the weaknesses in our laws and Constitution. Too long have the American people unwittingly been abused through politicians relying on “good simaritan” and “the honor system”.

We can no longer assume that the Americans around us have good intentions for each other.

That, in and of itself, is anti-American and not patriotic.

The United States, *not* the Divided States. Fix the system. We need people with better ideas and better intentions, in politics.

[It’s not silly to come out of the closet. That special event is silly if you do it while wearing a furry suit and rubbing jelly on you and you are a member of the GoP and old and white. You be you, but you’ll get made fun of]

  9. Every time she speaks, someone should ask her “Will you vote for Trump if he wins the GOP presidential nomination?”

We know the answer is “yes” but would be fun to watch her sputter some nonsense response.

  10. Lest we forget that Jim Jordan wasn’t allowed on the Jan 6 committee because he was involved in the plot itself. If you can’t even qualify for an investigative committee, how the flying fuck are you now qualified to appoint people to committees?

The Conflict of Interest alone precludes him from the job.

[I’ll let Jim Jordan speak for himself as he proves my point. (Link to Twitter)](https://twitter.com/TaylorPopielarz/status/1420438437379837955)

  11. I’m sure Republicans will step up and vote for someone else.

  12. So much for checks and balances that a shit stain gerrymandered faker fuck can rise to such a position in government. One could almost argue it’s a 4 d chess move by vulture capitalists to further fuel the hopelessness that most people feel about our system.

  13. The constitution went up in flames the second Donald Trump was elected president. That wasn’t just a symptom of a failing system, it was proof of a failed system.

  14. Here’s the problem given the two choices Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan, the second might be the most palatable to most Republicans. Remember Republicans suck so their choices do too.

Scalise is maybe too close to McCarthy to get enough of the votes from the crazies. Guarantee Gaetz tries to call him on it.

Jordan is close to McCarthy but he is in the Freedom Caucus too. He might be able to sway enough from both sides to win the speakership

  15. Liz, almost every Republican in office today is bad for the Constitution.

  16. This lady right here should be the republican front runner but the party is stuck on stupid.

  17. 221 Republicans in the House. It would only take 5 of them changing sides to flip control.

Sure there are at least 5 Republicans who didn’t sign up for this madness?

  18. Interestingly, McCarthy nominated Jordan to be on the Jan 6th select committee. Probably to disrupt it.

  19. Scary times we’re living in when Dick Cheney’s kid isn’t the villain.

  20. For starters he lower the age of consent down to ten.

  21. Jim Jordan is like the third most disliked man in the house, after Cruz and Gaetz.

  22. Having a rape enabler as speaker of the house is right up there with having a pedophile as speaker of the house.
