It’s unfortunately a thing that’s pretty much ingrained in drivers in Ireland. I don’t think there’s any malicious intent behind it.
Because nobody is going to reprimand them. There is zero enforcement of the laws.

Leave a note under the windscreen wipers and say you are a wheelchair user who had to go out on the road
Take out your house key and run it alongside as you walk by >:) or instead if you live near it, get a few slices of bread make sure to soak them in water and throw it on the car it’ll have the seagulls all over it for a while and they’d have it covered in poop.
Would be a shame if someone brushed past and their zip scratched that lovely paintwork

I wish there was a way we could report this to the police. And a culture of enforcement of rules and penalties.
