I guess it’ll get harder to watch that Kremlin propaganda
When you’re dealing with a country that uses the existence of Russian speakers in other countries as a casus belli to invade, this is just a basic precaution.
Very nice!
That’s what Russia gets for using the Russian speaking excuse to invade countries. Most of their neighbours will now start prioritising their own native language over Russian and before they know it decades down the line the usage of Russian outside of Russia dwindles to just them.
Nice one.
Yes if you speak too much Russian, they’ll claim you’re all Russian and annex you.
This is not new. Kazakhstan has been pushing the Kazakh language for over a decade. When I lived there, we were encouraged to learned Kazakh over Russian, at least in terms on greetings and the basics.
Kazakh almost died out and the KZ government has worked hard to bring it back. Heck, the government even has wikipedia classes where articles are translated into Kazakh
While Kazakhstan has been pushing to make itself more independent from Russia this is not a recent development. Russian is still a state-sponsored language. Almost everyone speaks Russian while about 2/3 speak Kazakh.
They need to increase potassium exports
Sooo…Russia claiming the Kazakhs are nazis in 3…2….1….
“Yes great success”
