Wild considering that with some ADHD drugs you cannot abruptly stop using them. I believe some of the non-stimulants can cause big spikes in heart rate and blood pressure if you stop taking them without being weaned off.
This has happened to a mate of mine. This is the problem with suddenly diagnosing everybody who can afford to go private with ADHD so they can get legal speed.
I’m in the same boat. Have been forced to go cold turkey after taking what is essentially daily amphetamine (well….. actually that’s exactly what it is) for several years. It’s not been nice. My work in particular has gone to shit, productivity has collapsed. My sleep has returned to being shit as well, which I hate.
But, there’s nothing to be done. Just have to wait another month for them to arrive back in. Kind of disappointing that the pharmacists and GP couldn’t give a shit…. but there we go, I expect it at this point.
