  1. We have to stop electing people who don’t want to do the job.

  2. Than that’s the entire Republican Party. Seriously, name a Republican policy or party member that has benefited Americans? They are agents of chaos and disarray, nothing more.

Vote. If not registered, please register here: https://www.vote.org

  3. If we got rid of gerrymandering we might get people who want to do their job.

  4. The people who voted them in aren’t going remember this in October 2024.

They pull shit like this when reelection isn’t a few months away with the confidence and expectation that voters won’t remember a thing that happened this week when it’s time to vote.

  5. The math is simple: Sociopaths are incapable of empathy. Without empathy, they are incapable of looking after others’ well being. If they are incapable of looking after others’ well being, they can’t do the job of being a public servant.

  6. They can do the job, they want to do the job…the job just has nothing to do with taking care of any of us or our issues. Disingenuous article that tries to blame corporate control on lack of effort or desire by these fools.

They’re doing the exact job they’re paid to be doing

  7. The Media could spend more time “educating and informing the public on the principles of the Civics of Representative Democracy”.

**HOW:** By referencing the Principles and Values laid out within [The Preamble](https://constitution.congress.gov/constitution/preamble/), and point out what does respect it, and what does not respect it. Then people may learn how to understand the Articles of The Constitution, as being designed to facilitate, achieve, promote and protect and serve those principles and values.

**Instead of** spinning drama with every “sucker” that campaigns spinning **their own “personal” dogma and drama objectives**.

Help make people aware of the fact, NOTHING within the Constitution, speaks about or advocate for “Political Parties”.. because by principles and fact “Political Parties” are divisive, and does not embrace the unity principles of “WE” as in We The People.

Each person gets one vote, and we claim to be an intelligent people, then let people use their own intelligence to cast their vote. We don’t need to be “herded like we are packs of “fight dogs”” seperated and divided into combative forces.

  8. You mean politicians? I like the idea of direct democracy via lottery based on driver’s license registration.

  9. >Implying most of the public will listen to MSNBC and/or reason because Joy Reid said to do so

Try again, we’ve been electing people who just can’t do the job for a long time now- it won’t be that easy to just change minds easily where things are heading.

  10. The problem is that the aristocrats love getting those people elected by appealing to the masses who are prone to having a hierarchical worldview.

GOP politicians are largely whiny puppets of the aristocracy that uphold and bolster the very power structures that enshrine their dominant status.

  11. Describing a Republican problem. It’s not a Democrat problem. It’s also a feature and not a bug for Republicans.

  12. Tell that to the vulture capitalists that finance these fuckers.

  13. There are plenty of people that can do the job but they are just corrupt and greedy as fuck. Electing these people are also useless…(this is true for both sides of the aisle).

So what can you do? The Political parties literally disown anyone trying to help actual people when they try to ignore any corporate lobbying. The main parties are so in need of corporate dollars that people can’t get what they need from the government without some sort of windfall going to the businesses that help put them in power.

  14. I’ve been saying for a while that we ought to have some kind of professional exam you have to pass to get on the ballot. Plus the same kind of continuing requirements, take some professional development every 2 years. Don’t like it? Go take your failed acting career somewhere else.

  15. That’s a very undemocratic idea. People should elect whoever the fuck they want. This dude pleads for an aristocracy.

Fix the loopholes in the election system, make voting easier and educate voters on what they vote for.

  16. Every other job requires degrees and experience and the. We have PT’s and people who dropped out of high school making our laws.

  17. Joy Reid is an antisemite, homophobe and an Islamophobe.
