  1. I hope they just mean the House, and specifically the House GOP…

Edit: after reading the article, it’s *exactly* what they mean.

  2. That statement is more telling than most are ready to let on.

  3. Fascism has been said to be a political philosophy that is followed to obtain power and not necessarily a blue print for governing. It is achieved by predominantly playing to the uneducated and shallow thinking masses, and keeping them from being educated in critical thinking. Whether or not you would characterize the GOP as a fascist, they do seem to be only interested in gaining and retaining power by , in the words of H.L. Mencken(US reporter, literary critic, editor, author of the early 20th century), ” … keeping the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.”

  4. I’m not saying that the people in the Senate are old, but the Senate cafeteria does have a vat and a hose so that members can top off their embalming fluid.

  5. If that were true MTG would be on a registry list for showing naked men to classmates.

  6. As a result of Republicans choosing not to functionally govern, as a form of delegitimizing government itself – which bolsters the arisrocracy’s dominant position in society.

Hence, our aristocrats aid and abet this dysfunction through GOP puppets sitting in Congress.

  7. Republican legislators insist on work requirements for government aid while failing to see the irony as they cash their fat government checks.

  8. I’m an 8th grade social studies teacher. In my state, they do us history that year.

    Hard disagree with this title.

Cause my students are more mature and could reach compromise on things.

The US Congress is far worse then a middle school.

  9. Also a cult has locked themselves in the gym and keeps trying to burn the building down. We’d have them kicked them out, but their parents work for the police and the other parents don’t care enough to pay attention.

  10. Seriously, none of our leaders on the right side of the aisle are capable of acting like grown ups. It’s actually really embarrassing for us as a country

  11. Congress? Its one clique within one subsection of one House.

  12. The older I get the more I realize every skngle organization is pretty poorly managed. Fortune 500 companies, congress, hospitals, universities. The people running these organizations are no smarter or more organized than me.

  13. Good Point. Congress would function so much better if they were banned from social media.

  14. Remember, they’re just government employees

    Who the fuck hired them?

  15. You got to a point where it was like well this would be funny if it wasn’t so sad

But now it’s been that way for so long for me at least it’s at a point again where it’s like funny again just like dude what else can you do instead of despair you’ve got to just laugh

  16. Bullshit. This is not a *both sides* issue. It’s the fucking republicans in congress who time and time again prove they are neither capable of, or interested in, governing America.

  17. An individual congressperson has more power now than at any point in history. They have way more people in their districts and we spend way more than we ever have.

This is an aphrodisiac for sociopaths. The only way to get these clowns out is to make the work boring. We need 5,000 congress people not 435. We need 1000 Senators, not one hundred.

These same sociopaths will tell you whatever you want to hear. They debase themselves. Make the job boring, take away the spotlight, not the oversight, and they will go look elsewhere.

  18. When Republicans are fucking up: “congress in disarray!”

When democrats are fucking up: “Democrats in disarray!”

  19. It’s more like memory care unit inside of a hospice.

  20. That’s giving them too much credit. I see this behavior in preschoolers.

  21. It’s almost like most of them have lead on their brains….. Oh wait they do.

  22. I work at a middle school and these kids are much more mature than the Republican clowns in congress.

  23. The political theater that Congress puts on is at a middle-school level because that is the mental level of its constituents.

  24. Not defending the GOP, but this is very much a clickbait headline. Are they talking about democrats? Are they talking about republicans? Better give us a click to find out! They could have just said “the house republicans” specifically but they wouldn’t get as many clicks that way.

Personally, with the knowledge that media has a vested interest in sowing discord and controversy, I’m not clicking this crap.

  25. Guess that explains why Matt Gaetz ran for the House instead of the Senate. Dude is always hanging around middle schools.

  26. Oh my God someone has said it perfectly. Like no one could get the republicans to wake up and understand they still have a job to do.
