The election should be about Labour’s success but I pray to god we have some long drawn out money shots of seeing the world collapse around Grant Shapps et al. as they lose.
This period of rapid repair of our party since 2019 is an historic achievement. Many, myself included, had predicted it’d take 10+ years to recover from the devastation of the Corbyn years. For the party to turn things around so quickly is nothing short of remarkable, and with its renaissance now highly likely to end this period of endless Tory hegemony and despair with a massive Labour majority I’m very excited for the future.
Labours success has nothing to do with them being successful.
They are the lesser of two evils.
But still entirely shit at their jobs.
When you look at the calibre of folk leading all the parties and who ends up in cabinet and number 10 nowadays. You kind of start to realise it doesn’t matter because the real power isn’t in parliament anymore. It’s in the hands of corporations and especially big tech corporations. I will be holding my nose and voting Lib Dem for one reason and one reason only.
They’re the best chance this country has of getting electoral reform. Proportional representation. Which would be a damned sight better to just leaving it as it is and relying on populism to deliver change.
Who cares, just another shade of shit to fuck is all in the arse
It’s absolutely worth realising that even if they get in it’s going to take a **decade** or more to reverse the spiteful damage and looting the Tories have done to every part of the country, and the entire infrastructure that keeps everything running.
It’s not going to just be sunshine and buttercups suddenly, just because they’re gone.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Last election people were saying ‘No chance the torys stay in power’s and yet they did. Never underestimate how easy it is to manipulate most people.
Not good enough. We need to campaign harder so that come the GE, not a single Conservative wins a seat. They need to be annihilated as a party, declared socially poisonous and consigned to history, just like the Nazis.
This would have been great news if there was a different Labour party. The one with truly different ideas and a real manifesto for change. But we get Cameron 2.0 in a red tie.
No one who craves power should be allowed to be in power. Everyone who wants to run the country, wants to do it to benefit themselves. The system doesn’t work, unfortunately I don’t think any system of leadership will ever be perfect.
