I’m no fan of SF but this is a fair take. Condemns Hamas’ attacks on civilians but also highlights there can be no lasting peace while Israel continues its apartheid regime.
Good statement. The way some politicians are going on you’d swear this offensive just happened in a vacuum and isn’t the ultimate result of years of apartheid, oppression and slaughter by Israel, coupled with a total failure by international actors to implement UN resolutions
The only reasonable response anyone can have. The hypocrisy of western leaders cheering on Ukraine and spitting on Palestine would be hilarious if it wasn’t so emblematic of everything that’s wrong with the world.
The perfect proof if there ever was one that international law just simply doesn’t exist, it’s might makes right and always has been. No wonder desperate people resort to violence, if you don’t have mates with nukes you’re totally on your own out there.
Honestly, I have no idea who can step in because Israel is going to carpet-bomb the strip, and at this point, they seem to have enough public opinion from the US & EU for the go-ahead.

They’ve already voted to remove the powers of their [supreme court against the wishes of their people] (https://edition.cnn.com/2023/07/24/middleeast/israel-supreme-court-power-stripped-intl/index.html) and the chances of an appeal getting passed after this attack are likely nil. You can put your own conspiracy cap on and tie the timelines together.
Hamas & Netanyahu need to be booted for any chance of peace between the two.
