My friend ended up finding this knife on a beach in America that when he removed some of the junk on it said it was made in Solingen Germany. I doubt it but anybody know what kind of knife this is or the company that would have made it?

You might have to look for a makers mark or company name on the blade. Some background, the town of Solingen has been a center of blade manufacture for almost 500 years, with many companies still operating here.
