Always wanted to do some hiking in Scotland, but it can be very dangerous in many parts, probably why Highland rescue has 101 teams all over the place and tons of equipment.
Chaos here in Scotland today. Only travel if it’s essential. All trains are off. Multiple road closures in North West.
I don’t feel so bad about postponing my run now…
I was hiking on Tuesday in Assynt and got caught out by the weather and had to leave the hill I was on, it’s been a bit nasty up here this week
☝️this is what environmental collapse from climate change looks like.
Not one big bang, but a series of increasingly severe events over decades
This will sap public resources, repairing this is money not going to front line services, or improving infrastructure.
We are going to have to run increasingly hard to stand still. And soon the rate of damage will overwhelm our ability to fix things
Sunny and 22 degrees in Leeds today, sorry Scotland
flying into Edinburgh tomorrow. That area isn’t affected?
