If you advocate for war and repeatedly face losses, accept the outcome rather than taking a victim stance. For instance, during the Yom Kippur war, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Tunisia, Morocco jointly attacked Israel with the aim of eradicating it but ended up losing both the war and territory. Yet, they still present themselves as victims. How does this narrative persist?

Yeah nah. Israel reaps what it sows as far as I am concerned.
As much as this sucks for israel this is good for ukraine. This realigns the world around pro-western, it defeats putin’s attempt to turn the world against the west. It undermines his efforts to broker peace between israel, iran, and saudia arabia. It pushes israel and saudi arabia further against iran, who is supporting the attacks. it also puts a highlight on how what putin is doing is a terror attack. It’s a war waged just as hamas has waged a war, so it weakens his position and alliances he’s attempted to cultivate. It’s causing putin to fail in his attempt to out jihad, holy war, jihadists, Hamas is attacking a nuclear state. They are upstaging putin. He has failed to out do them.
He made this statement so quickly, not just because it’s the moral position, but he knows that Russia and Iran are fully behind it.
Do we think of Israel as an occupier? Because if we do, Z here is being somewhat hypocritical.
