And now we can finally afford groceries and buy a house.
Word. My friend just got a second job recently.
This recession is crazy. We used to have a real country, but now Joe Biden won’t even do a recession right – rather than *losing* 14 million jobs so we can all scream about how bad things are, America has *created* 14 million jobs. Why isn’t the recession killing all the jobs yet? Why is the elitist economy still being in good shape and thus denying us something reasonable to complain about? Oh Biden, why have you forsaken us?
Sing it loud and clear so the people in the back can hear.
Anyone have a comparison to the Trump presidency at this point in?
It’s not just the number. It’s the type of job as well. Would be interesting to see how many of those jobs are casual unskilled, etc.
This could have the potential to backfire if the economy doesn’t remain stable, particularly as a recession occurring rightfafter touting something like this would be really, really poor timing.
not just tout, but tell the truth about
the part they failed to mention is that most of those jobs “created” is because now people have had to take on second and third jobs to afford cost of living
13.9M new jobs and I can’t find ONE new one.
While I am glad this is good for us all I feel like Biden is inflating the numbers with the Covid jobs that were brought back… not really all created.
Serious question. When families are struggling so bad they have to take multiple jobs in order to survive, are those counted as “jobs created”?
Yeah but everything else has gotten insanely expensive and few of these jobs pay enough.
Are all those jobs minimum wage, because we can’t do this anymore.
Jobs will continue to rise because you need a few of them to survive.
It’s a shame that when Drumpf was prez, the media coverage about his latest tirade would get 10 times most airtime than Biden adding jobs and shoring up the economy.
A lot of business types won’t see this as good news. Remember that right now, the Fed is pursuing policies to LOWER employment as a means of reigning in inflation.” Personally though, I think more jobs is always better.
Biden is the modern day Roosevelt
How many are second or third jobs though? Shit is crazy right now.
not bad for a senile geriatric dementia patient, who is also a mastermind crook and has the entire US govt at his fingertips to convict his political opponents.
Shitty thing is everyone has already made up their minds.
Yes he’s old. So is Trump.
MAGA folks won’t change their mind no matter what. Trump could rob them, rape their mother, literally anything – they won’t waiver. They have been brainwashed anything with a “D” is evil. Period.
Also, for me I don’t see these millions of jobs happening. I still see chronic understaffing everywhere. I see even minimum wage jobs unfilled. I see Chipotles closed at noon because lack of staff. I see every business announcing layoffs, hiring freezes and other financial concerns. The average person I don’t think sees any progress still, no matter what the CBO or anything else says… so they’re not seeing real world anecdotal data and only being fed Fox and Newsmax fearmongering. Unless that changes, they’d rather vote for a rapist criminal than anyone else (and possibly even if they saw the real world benefits, they’d still vote for him)
Fuck Joe Biden
The point of life isn’t to work. The point of jobs isn’t just to work. It’s to have a comfortable life. If these jobs aren’t paying enough to do this or Healthcare, cost of living, housing etc are way too expensive to be affordable then who cares about the jobs
Low wages for everyone!
most dont pay enough tho
Some beautiful hospitality jobs

If you have over a million reddit karma, everything is going excellent; the economy is on fire under the leadership of the most pro-union president of all time, we’re celebrating a win by appointing a black woman to the senate, the Republicans are so corrupt that they’re in a civil war, and the only real problem is that the country isn’t respecting Joe Biden enough because he’s old – but so is Trump, so it’s not fair!
If you have under a million reddit karma, times are tough: jobs don’t pay enough for people to thrive, we just appointed a lobbyist to the senate that nobody voted for, Republicans seem to get away with any crime they want, and it feels like there is no realistic political messaging anywhere because it focuses on bullshit like the age of 2 candidates that will get nominated regardless.
Demand for goods and services – like all others – created those jobs.
I now work 2 jobs to pay for my bills. Whoopee
When a government greatly increases its spending more jobs occur
That’s great! This means all those hard workers can finally start being able to afford housing, healthcare, and food any day now, right??
Why is job creation seen as a political selling point?
When typically all a politician has to do shut up and not break stuff?
