Serhiy is my childhood friend, although he is a few years younger than me, we grew up together. He has been playing soccer as long as I can remember. I don’t even know when he had time to study, because I always saw him on the football field. After school, he mastered the profession of a math teacher, but it seems to me that his only passion was and is football :). After the war started, he first went to the front, and then was sent to study in the UK. Serhiy spoke very emotionally about his time in the UK, and more than the training and equipment of the British Army, he was impressed by the support of both the military and ordinary people of the country, who are very supportive of Ukrainians in their struggle. In between training, he did get to see Big Ben and Stonehenge. Now my friend works in an air defense unit. Such units look at the sky night and day. Detecting the Iranian Shahedin is their main task. They have a few thermal imagers, but they need more. As always, I started the collection in Ukraine and we have already raised $2000 out of the $4000 needed, that is half of it.
