  1. I hate when they only tell you the price after you’ve ordered it :/

  2. You bought it though didn’t ya. Also, what a shite combination

  3. What you should have done is say thanks but no thanks at that price and walk away.

But instead you pay for it and post it on reddit and think “job done”

  4. Don’t pay for overpriced goods or services, these places will charge as much as fools are willing to pay,

  5. You chose to pay for it. Or was there a gun to your head making you?

  6. Jesus h Christ. All the fucking assholes here who apparently never got caught out cause they never leave their mother’s house.

People get shocked and pay without thinking; it happens. It’s fine. The person is telling us and a little ‘mind as you go’ in this cafe.

Cop yourselves on. I’ve never heard of this place, and if I see it wouldn’t be rushing there due to the post.

  7. YOU PAID FOR IT THOUGH!! stop whinging and pretending you didn’t know how much it cost.

  8. Thats a weird combo, cant even guess the time of day to have this “meal”. It even takes a couple of seconds to undersrand which is which

  9. Coming away from the price a second. Was the soup nice?

  10. They have MASSIVE framed pricing signs on the walls in the shop behind the counter you cannot miss them that shows price for soup, coffee and teas…. And everything else

  11. I would refuse to pay.
I assume it’s pay first before meal.

  12. And to think you could’ve easily made it yourself for €3 ~ maybe you should’ve done so? Inflation is high and rents are through the roof, why act surprised a small business has to charge high prices to stay in business?

  13. R/pricesigns , r/dontbuyifyoudontwanttopay are reddit forums you should consider

  14. One person’s predatory price gouging, is another person income.

  15. Are you washing down a hot drink (soup) by drinking a hot drink (coffee) or are you washing down a hot drink (coffee) by drinking a hot drink (soup)?

  16. Was the soup any good? What flavour ? Was there no bread ?

  17. I’ll have a Soup and a Coffee, please. Said nobody ever

  18. and you can bet the staff are paid minimum wage and worked incredibly hard to maximise profits

  19. Maybe next time try take things a bit slower and don’t be in such a rush to pay and get sorted. No ones gonna shank you from behind for taking 5 seconds to ask “how much is that?”

As a side note I fucking hate cafes, delis etc that don’t have clear pricing menus on display. some places even just have the name of what you can order with no indication of how much it is

  20. Why pay for it if you’re going to complain about it after? Complain by not paying.

  21. I misread the title as €1.30 and was wondering why people were complaining in the comments until I reread it

  22. It’s your own fault you donut, if it’s too expensive just don’t buy it.

  23. Mad the way you still paid it further encouraging them to set those prices huh

  24. I hate how so many people here seem to be defending the shop and calling out the person who payed them. If we don’t stick together and fight the greed of these companies then we are all screwed

  25. And yet you obviously paid it. Congrats, you’re part of the problem.

  26. All restaurants and Cafe’s are slowly pricing themselves out of business… We always went for a fry every Friday regardless of where we were working but the last 2 Fridays we’ve just got rolls in the deli. 2 full breakfasts and 2 cappuccinos nearly 50 quid is a hard pill to swallow..
