  1. “If a person admits to owning it, they have to admit who gave it to them or how its purchase was financed. No one has come forward” says Garda source.

They ain’t getting back their gold I’d say

  2. Why did they have gold bars in the first place, and now they can’t even claim it seemingly. Bunch of clowns.

  3. You know everybody just discusses the headline on paywalled articles?

Paste the article text and don’t give no shite on we gotta pay the journalists.

  4. >Barrett has been removed as party leader, with Longford farmer James Reynolds taking over.

Admittedly I couldn’t really care but it’s funny that he’s lost control of his party of petty thieving patriots.

  5. This raises a few red flags and you’d hope the state is investigating.

  6. Those are mine. I got them for saying Isreal isnt so bad really.

  7. I think it’s strange here that any time this story has come up, all the emphasis seems to be on the National Party, and not the fact that this is one of the biggest bank robberies in Irish history, in a country where crime of this nature is extremely rare

  8. Don’t gold bars have traceable serial numbers?

  9. I’m imagining the Revenue Commissioners with a giant butterfly net waiting to pounce.
