I hear a few were kidnapped. I would guess each country negotiates for its own citizens’ release first in these cases.
I think we all know what the usual conversation has been on Reddit surrounding the middle east, Israel, Palestine etc.
My question is how will this affect perception and good will going forward? How will this affect people’s view of Palestine? Or Israel?
This is so tragic the loss of life and so many lives yet to be ruined. It’s going to be hard for politicians to side with the Palestinians.

Netanyahu needs to go. He stoked a lot of this. Same type of extremism that brought down Rabin in 1995. Israeli security supposedly best in world failed miserably. Why any Americans are in Gaza, is beyond comprehension. Two state solution would have prevented this

America must defend Israel.
We should advocate a hardline. If American hostages are not released any and all objections to Israeli actions should be waived. The US will recognize all of Israel’s claims, confiscations and settlements. Also for a minimum of 5 years cut off all international aid to Gaza not a single dime should be given to fund reconstruction the US will treat it as terrorist financing and will sanction any bank or government that helps Gaza and will veto any and all UN efforts to fund Palestine. If Hamas does not release our citzens we should aim for nothing less than the complete economic collapse of palestine
Did these individuals have dual US/Israel citizenship?
Palestinians lost a lot of goodwill yesterday. I don’t think they understand the severity of it.
So many western nations are impacted now.
Some already stopped aid to Palestine.
I think the next thing that is going to happen is they are going to look away at what’s going to happen next in Gaza like they do with the Uyghurs or in Yemen.
I watched an interview with a Israeli military official that mentioned they might put Gaza under siege until they get what they want.
I sounded very clear to me that they are willing to not only cut electricity but also food off.
They might keep a way into Egypt open to get rid of the Palestinians in Gaza and make them someone else’s problem.
Anyway: not my monkey, not my circus.
All the mixture of hostages makes retaliation difficult. I can’t even imagine how Israel feels both rage and hand-tied.
The only thing I can think of is individual soldiers, but I’m sure they would not succeed with that plan.

As someone who previously thought Israel was at fault here – the music festival videos were the end of that.
Palestine should no longer exist. Complete destruction.
Religion sucks, but not half as much as religious terrorists.

They say this about every country’s citizens being killed in the attack to rally support for their war. Truth is Israel has been the active oppressor for so long that they are suddenly surprised when the people they are oppressing rise up

Was always for Israel to take over Gaza peacefully. I’m sorry but the Arabs have a lot of land and that’s the Jewish homeland and it’s tiny. They finally did what they shouldn’t have done. They poked arguably one of the most well trained armies in the world. Hope they bring Gaza back to Israel rebuild everything and take care of the Palestinian citzens that aren’t supporting hamas or in hamas. As for if Iran was involved I hope they were time to sanction them again and possibly more. Had enough of letting the dictators of the world go completely unchecked. You can argue Netanyahu is one but he isn’t as bad as trump, Putin and Iran. China to but will see if they make a power play for Taiwan anytime soon. Anyways Israel will clean this shit up quick I hope and end Hamas for good and possibly hessbulah since they apparently helped too. At the end of the day they were classsfied as a terrosit group so Hamas and hessubulah can eat it.
