It should be prepare for possible conflict with NATO. There is no conflict with northern NATO countries. Or southern ones. Or western.

These articles are so dumb. Ukraine is one thing but they seriously can’t do anything about a NATO country. Pretty must all russian forces are tied down in Ukraine. The article itself mentioned they pulled 80% of forces from the Norway border. This is just clickbait/fear mongering.
With what army? They pulled out everything to go to Ukraine.
How? Empty threats?
They removed most of the troops from their borders with NATO countries in the north, their “war with NATO” exists solely for the sake of rhetoric to feed gullible Russian idiots.

Doesn’t really read as if he’s preparing; it reads more like his forces are in total disarray and they’re trying to restructure.
In other words, Putin considering attacking Norway because he doesn’t like the fact Norway is calling Russia out on their overtly aggressive behaviour.
Pretty clear at this point Putin automatically views anyone not subservient as an immediate threat. This is how he runs Russia, and as such this is how he views the world outside of Russia. He’s incapable of seeing the world in any other way, and will be a threat for the rest of his days.
Russia desperately needs the next generation to come through and hopefully they will have a more accurate world view that will cure this insipid destructive paranoia that is driving Russian behaviour.
