Hey guys, I was in Belgium and I admit that I was driving a bit too fast. I received 2 speeding tickets. However, I noticed that they are only 1 minute apart each other and that the distance between them is continuously. Do I have to pay both of them or is this a misunderstanding?

  1. No you got caught twice. You were speeding thru one avg zone and carried it on thru the next avg zone

  2. You were speeding in 2 different places and were caught in 2 different places. Doesn’t matter that they were close together, you got 2 fines and will have to pay both.

  3. They are technically 2 different installations which is why you get two fines. You could argue that both tickets are about the same infraction but you’d have to make your argumentation in front of a judge if you want to fight it (and if you lose you’ll end up paying more than the original ticket)

  4. You could not pay them and take them both to court asking for a single fine, but I don’t know if it’s wirth the time and the risk.
