  1. > **Golders Green kosher restaurant vandalised amid Israel-Hamas war**

    > The vandalism of a kosher restaurant in Golders Green, north London, in an apparent antisemitic attack has prompted fears of a rise in hate crimes following the outbreak of war in Israel.

    > The front door of Pita, a popular Middle Eastern venue in one of the capital’s mainly Jewish neighbourhoods, was shattered with a fire extinguisher between Sunday night and Monday morning. Police have yet to confirm that the incident was racially motivated.

    > The restaurant is near a London Underground bridge, which was daubed with a pro-Palestinian slogan.

    > The Metropolitan Police is increasing the level of security and number of patrols outside Jewish schools in London in response to an increasing threat from pro-Palestinian activists.

    > CST, a charity advising Jewish organisations on security in Britain, is working with the police to ensure the safety of children at Jewish schools and provide reassurance to the community. Some pupils have been told that they do not have to wear blazers carrying their school logo.

    > David Moody, headmaster of the Jewish Free School in Kenton, north London, said: “In conjunction with increased patrols from the Metropolitan Police, CST has deployed extra security to ensure the safe travel of our students to and from school. We are indebted for their support and our thoughts are with all those families who have been impacted by the terrorist attacks.”

    > A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “We are aware of a number of incidents, including those that have been shared on social media, in relation to the ongoing conflict in Israel and the border with Gaza. The Met has increased policing patrols across parts of London in order to provide a visible presence and reassurance to our communities.”

    > Pita advertises that it serves halal and kosher food and lists Iraqi, Israeli and Moroccan dishes on its menu. The restaurant’s kosher falafel has won awards from Time Out magazine.

    > Sarah Sackman, Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Finchley & Golders Green and a regular customer, said she found the alleged attack “appalling”.

    > “There is no place for this in our close-knit and diverse corner of north London. This will not stand,” she added.

    > Sadiq Khan, the Labour mayor of London, said there would be “no tolerance” for hate in the capital. “I remain in close contact with the Met Police. Whoever did this will face the full force of the law. I stand with Jewish Londoners, today and always,” he said.

    > A spokesman from Community Security Trust, a charity for the protection of Jewish people, told Jewish News: “This is a deliberate attempt to intimidate the Jewish community. It is disgraceful and should be roundly condemned by all sides. We expect the police to fully investigate because this cannot be allowed to continue.”

    > The Conservative peer Lord Pickles called the incident a “shameful example” of antisemitism in Britain.

    > Gabriel Pogrund, a journalist from The Sunday Times, said the apparent attack on the restaurant was a sign of “dark times”.

    > “My wife and I go here all the time. As a friend put it, who reacts to Jews being butchered by . . . smashing up a kosher restaurant and vandalising a Jewish neighbourhood?” he said.

  2. And so it begins, a dark time once again spreads across Europe.
Judging by the protests and support for Hamas across Europe, we will now see similar assaults and an escalation of violence.
The local Jewish community to me have been moving removing any symbols of Judaism.

  3. Islam will conquer Europe without firing a shot (impaled man, 2006)

  4. How Tf are random people in London responsible. Shameful whats happening. Hopefully whoever did this is found.

  5. I’ve been here before with a friend. My great grandfather emigrated to London to escape the Nazis. This is disappointing beyond words and I hope the Met seriously engage with this because it will get worse and worse

  6. A reminder that in 2019 40% of Brits voted for Corbyn who called Hamas and Hezbollah his friends

  7. 10 British citizens are dead or missing. Have the people filmed celebrating in London been arrested yet for supporting terrorist groups?

  8. It will only get worse, unfortunately. I fear we will be seeing what is happening in Israel right now in Europe in the future.

[When will European Muslim population be majority and in which country?](https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/PRR-12-2018-0034/full/pdf?title=when-will-european-muslim-population-be-majority-and-in-which-country)

    > forecasting the Muslim population based on three scenarios: 1) a conservative zero-migration scenario; 2) a 2017 migration and a more likely 3) mid-point migration scenario. In the mid-point migration scenario, we identify 13 countries where the Muslim population will be majority between years 2085 and 2215 in order of occurrence: Cyprus (in year 2085), Sweden (2125), France (2135), Greece (2135), Belgium (2140), Bulgaria (2140), Italy (2175), Luxembourg (2175), the
    UK (2180), Slovenia (2190), Switzerland (2195), Ireland (2200) and Lithuania (2215).

    > The growing Muslim population will change the face of Europe socially, politically and economically. Examples of such changes will include proliferation of mosques, prayer calls from loudspeakers, commercialization of halal foods and products, compatible workload and adjustable working hours with Ramadan constraints, new laws in favor of the Muslim population and a growing meddling of foreign governments in European political decisions. At first, antiIslam political parties may gain support in a xenophobic reaction to the rising contribution of the Muslim population to the life of the European society until the Muslim population be majority.

  9. Barbaric violent behaviour.

Support for Hamas terrorism should not be condoned and tolerated. Europe must protect our Jewish community.
