Hi everyone. I live in a regular apartment in an older house. I wanted to ask if anyone knows if it’s possible to change my regular socket that’s in the wall into one that has a regular type J socket and also 2 USB-C slots? Sort of like [this.](https://www.brack.ch/feller-ediziodue-steckdose-2x-usb-c-3-a-1109864)
Is this something I could do myself or should I hire an electrician? I would really love to have this done but I know nothing about electricity. Additionally, I won’t do it if it could be a fire hazard, obviously. The house is old (there’s straw in the ceiling lol).
Has anyone done this? Do you have any pointers for me regarding common mistakes or things I should look out for? If you all think it should definitely be done by an electrician I would follow that advice. If anyone has a rough idea how mucht that might cost I would also appreciate it.
Thank you for your help!

I don’t think it’d be very difficult but you said you know nothing about electricity, so it’s probably not a good idea…
Also, how in the holy hell is this thing 152.-?!
If you have to ask here then please get an electrician to do it lol not advisable yourself.
Have a professional do it. You’re only allowed to do it yourself if you have a professional check it afterwards anyway, and if you make a costly mistake, you’ll be liable for damages and your insurance can refuse to cover it – and that’s on top of the risk to yourself, considering you have never done this before. It’s unlikely it would come to that, but I suggest you don’t take the risk. The cost will depend on how many outlets you want to have replaced, so just call a few local electricians to get a rough estimate and then pick the best one.
