I made a joke about Drake donating 0.001% of his net worth to a fan at a concert.
The amount of people defending him saying it’s better than nothing was shocking.
The amount of wealth accessible to people while how many billions live in poverty is wild.
That’s looking a gift horse in the mouth. What a shitty take on the situation. I put a couple bucks in a Salvation Army pot the other day. Am I supposed to feel bad? These people gave millions and are using their status to make an outsized impact. If lots of people donate a little then it can do wonders.

This is dumb imo. That’s a lot of money they gave and instead of a pat on the back or just ignoring them I see people getting angry. Some of y’all don’t understand the definition of the word charity. Meanwhile I’m positive that 99% of complainers actually gave 0% of their income to help out. Wild stuff. Plenty of reasons to shit on Dwayne and Oprah but HOW MUCH they have to charity ain’t it.
This type of toxic thinking is just going to drive celebrities to donate even less. Why give any money at all if you’ll just get ridiculed for not giving more? What if they donate heavily to other causes? Why is this even a story?
