13. Sometimes I forget just how powerful these weapons really are. You always need to remember that “artillery” (a very wide umbrella that encompasses so many types of aerial-based bombardment munitions) is responsible for the overwhelming majority of casualties on both sides, if you need a sobering reminder of what much of the combat is really like there. 22. I would never join the British army for this reason. Why not just send soldiers to war unarmed rather than posturing as a ‘humanitarian’ by denying soldiers the lethal weaponry you know enemy forces are likely to have?

    Cluster bombs are essential weapons to modern armies whether anyone ‘likes’ it or not.
