No acceptance of the guilty verdict basically means no guilt. These men will never change so it’s better to sentence them with consecutive vs concurrent sentences.

Do we know anything about them? How old are the victims now? It must have been hugely traumatic to have to go through that case for them, but fair play to them for being so brave. I hope they’re getting all the help and support they need.

This is simply an example of the state washing its hands of its most vulnerable citizens, children, because getting involved, or more correctly, carrying out its statutory duty might offend traveller apologists.
These monsters could do this to their victims because the children were not attending school. That’s why they could be starved and beaten without any concern of state oversight. The state is required to ensure children are in school but you know, can’t offend people either.
Instead, the state knowingly allows children to be raised in a culture with ample evidence that it is to the child’s detriment. Statistically, a traveller child will not be educated to the same level as a settled child, a traveller child is more likely to face addition during their life, more likely to be involved in familial abuse, they are more likely to be involved in criminality. A traveller boy born today is expected to live to be 61. A traveller girl is expected to live to 70. 15 and 11 years less than a settled person respectively.
Imagine the protests if the state chose to put children in need of adoption into such care. But instead because of an accident of birth it’s ok. None of those children need to be raised with such outcomes.
I don’t want to speak on behalf of the victims but then again I don’t need to. One of the actual victims said, “*he made sure that his children went to school and got an education so they would have the chance to have the life he never had*.”
The fact I am expected to contribute to supporting such a horrendous way of life through my taxes makes me complicit in it, and that makes me sick.
Sorry but.. a man raped his own daughter and a child was born out of that rape and he then raped that child (his granddaughter). HMOG.
