  1. Ugh.

    Environmental Working Group.

I wish we could go back to having environmental advocacy based on actual science instead of terribly bad science.

Downvote if you wish, but I work in this field.

  2. >The bill won’t be implemented until 2027

So Californians will still have about 4 years to gorge on foods containing “4 potentially harmful chemicals”.

  3. California. Always dragging the US into the future, or in relation to the rest of the developed world, the more recent past.

  4. California uber Alles! Woohoo

*this comment is known to cause cancer in the state of California

  5. Some of it is stuff we really don’t even need, like food that specific food coloring. Yeah, I really don’t mind getting rid of bright red skittle coloring if it might be harming me. I’ll settle for a pinker version of it or something. As long as it tastes the same.

  6. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a metric shit ton of newly made experts on these four chemicals pop up on Facebook over the next few weeks.

  7. red dye No. 3, potassium bromate, brominated vegetable oil or propylparaben.

  8. What do you do when your food is trucked in from out of state? Is flordia orange juice banned?

  9. All my conservative friends are losing their minds that california won’t let them eat poison. Peak Republican brain rot.

  10. Don’t eat pre-packaged crap. Just cook stuff and freeze some for later. Grow vegetables or buy them at a farmer’s market. Buy locally sourced meat. Color your food with spices and seasonings.

  11. I’ve probably consumed enough Red Dye #3 to kill a star whale in my lifetime.

  12. We eat all these dangerous chemicals yet manage to live longer and longer

  13. Whatever. They need to legalize sports betting. And what about the psychedelics? That was like two months ago they were supposed to legalize it. I want to be able to buy it already.
