    Pro-tip: if your reaction to hearing (and often seeing on video) hundreds of Jews raped, tortured, and murdered, and their bodies being paraded in the streets, is to support the perpetrators, you don’t see Jews as human beings.

  10. This is similar to the Palestinian supporters who gathered in Times Square and were chanting “700!”, which was the number of Israelis (and foreign nationals) Hamas had murdered by that point. All while making throat-cutting gestures.

    It’s thankfully not at all the majority view of those who support Palestine, but sickening in any case.

If you try to justify what has just occurred to people who were just attending a music festival or the kidnapping of women and children. If you are doing these things then you are not on the side of good.

  19. I am not with Hamas but Israel is not a blameless angle of historic or recent times. Not all criticism levelled against Israel is antisemitism, a fair bit of it is fact.

    Toss in that Israel’s govt is one of the more corrupt ones.

    It is categorically *not* anti-Semitic to criticise Israeli government policy/actions or to be vocally pro-Palestine. However it *is* impossible to do either of those things, without inevitably rubbing shoulders with people who gravitate towards both, because they *are* anti-Semitic…

    So how then can Palestinian advocacy avoid charges of anti-Semitic behaviour, when the majority of ordinary, not bigoted, people are having to try and speak over the people calling for genocide and spouting conspiracy theories? It’s all going the way of Norse runes, viking mythology and the swastika.
