Each time a shocking report of Hamas gets posted here, a bunch of weasels show up to try to create a false equivalence as quickly as possible between sympathizing with people living through an apartheid and supporting a literal mass terrorist attack. Stop trying to force it to be black and white to justify violent retribution. This is a minority opinion and will get buried but at least a word will be said for the dead Palestinians as have been for Israelis. All innocents who die, ALL children, should be mourned. It’s what separates us from groups like Hamas.

  19. I used to be sympathetic to the Palestinian people, but I have little sympathy now. Yes we all know the land was stolen, but we need to figure out the present and the future instead of arguing about the past and whose mass murder is justified. Multiple times, they had opportunities to have a two-state or at least be stable like the West Bank. I think they are addicted to being victims and getting sympathy, and I know people like this IRL. And it is really exhausting when someone refuses to better themselves and instead fishes for sympathy and pity parties.

    This will probably cause lasting damage to Israels growth. Families are going to second guess being that close to the border for a long time.

    A lot of Israelis are going to second guess their safety and the governments ability to protect them.

    Not even mentioning the damage that will be done to Palestine and so many people stuck there with guns in front and behind them not caring if they live or die, regardless of who they support, if anyone at all.

    Hamas and whomever backed/supplied them probably got exactly what they want. A “divine” war and a purpetual one.
