I mean missle shield is beeing created over Europe and several EU coutries are already operating aircraft carriers.

I expect he wants it to be built by France, have FCAS on it and be crewed by the French.
I think the issue is France needs funding for the next two aircraft carriers, more precisely, the one after the one being designed/built right now.

I can only think about the things humans could achieve if all money going to weapons would go to useful things
Build a second or more efficient missile shield instead of the carrier. Just in case. Conventional armies can’t mess with us anyway. The only ones who can are either allied or to far away.
And I want a prostitute while my wife is sick in the hospital.

Yes please! We Europeans have to protect us from terrorist state Russia once and for all! Do it as soon as possible!
Almost all the Eastern countries in the EU have already chosen US aircrafts for the next generation.
I will say something really unpopular here but I think Europe needs a framework of multiple forces or a single force that could fight Russia and Turkey effectively.
Turkey may be a NATO ally but Turkish politics is getting more erratic every consecutive day, the main party and the only viable opposition are in a dick measuring contest who will have a tougher stance vis-a-vis Greece and Cyprus. With the rise of Pan-Turkism and Pan-Islamism Turkey may get even more corageous.
Russia is just a country run by mentally ill people, once the main guy dies he will probably get replaced by another one so the problems will never get resolved.
I genuinely believe that the European neighbourhood is extremely volatile, maybe I am alarmist but I genuinely cannot shake that feeling. I am however not sure how aircraft carriers would help in dealing with any of these 2 states effectively.
