  1. >The results of today’s Mail on Sunday poll are likely to fan the frenzy of bitching and back- stabbing that dominates messaging sites used by the MPs as they speculate about which of them would be most likely to lose if an Election were held tomorrow – and debate whether to submit letters of no-confidence in the Prime Minister.

    >Our Deltapoll survey backs up anecdotal evidence from the MPs – dominated by the so-called Red Wallers who seized former Labour strongholds – that Mr Johnson has become a drag on their fortunes.

    >One told this newspaper: ‘I keep hearing the same line on the doorstep – ‘I’d support you if you got rid of your boss’.’

    >When asked if Mr Johnson was ‘doing well’, only 34 per cent of voters in the seats agree, while 62 per cent disagree, a net rating of minus 28. By comparison, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer scores minus 6.

Having problems connecting with archive so haven’t got the usual mirror link as yet for ye.

  2. Pretty disgusting that they can legitimately, seriously and dangerously undermine our entire democratic system and people don’t care.

They break the quarantine rules, like millions of others did, and this happens?!

Like, I’m not complaining, I’m glad it’s happening, but what the fuck people, this is the tiniest transgression they’ve committed, are people just not paying attention?

Or did it need to be something this simple for people to understand it?

  3. That ‘who is best placed to succeed’ Johnson question has a very strange set of options – Rayner, Corbyn, Milliband? are we back to like 2010 or something?

I think the most notable thing aside from Starmer being ahead on the question of best PM is the Chancellor/Leader one – Reeves and Starmer being ahead of Sunak and Johnson, on the context that Labour have regularly failed to poll as perceived competence on the economy, is wildly important and something the last two leaders never achieved.

  4. What has even gone on about all the parties? It was big news, including an investigation being launched (which then had to be changed because that guy had thrown or been to a party himself!). Then nothing…
