Following Donald Trump’s outbursts in his New York fraud trial that resulted in a gag order against him, US Department of Justice special counsel Jack Smith has requested protections for jurors and prospective jurors ahead of the former president’s trial in his election subversion case.
The filing notes that “just last week the defendant escalated his conduct and publicly attacked” Judge Engoron’s clerk in New York Supreme Court.
I get so miffed about the blatant privilege given to people of wealth. The bail system is meant to be for people who are a continued risk to society and yet poor people get held to the highest of monetary obligations to secure their freedom before court dates while this prick has riled his moronic, violent mob of followers against clerk staff, the judge themself and will absolutely do it with jurors and he is still running around freely.
The bail system was intended for people who act exactly like Trump. Fucking restore some faith in the justice system and stick him behind bars.
I have the same question as Mary Trump does.

There are elections in 27 days, vote. Show the republicans your displeasure at local and state elections this year.
Call your representative and let them know that you want them to fund social security, food assistance and other social programs not cut them. Let them know you want to protect a woman’s right to chose and to protect minorities and the LGBTQ communities from discrimination not make it legal. Tell them to stop campaigning through legislation and do there jobs. Call your state representatives and tell them the same thing.
Doesn’t he have a gag order in place for this very reason? Or is that in one of the other 100 trials his in the middle of?
Trump operates like a mob boss. He praises those who are loyal to him and threatens those who he perceives as working against his desire to attain wealth and attention.
I get arrested when I violate a gag order
Watching this dude bask in the two tiered justice system without any worry of repercussion is seriously infuriating. He needs to be in pre trial jail as of months ago.
They need to impose a proactive gag order because his actions and the damage they cause cannot be undone.
He blasted a picture and social media links of a random girl court clerk and then deleted it after the judge admonished him…but you can’t put that genie back in a bottle.
That clerk’s info is out there, she’s subject of harassment, etc.
He needs gagged **BEFORE** he screws other people over.
He should seek a gag order like the other trial
