Also, while these three parties are the largest, at the national level, if you combine parties by political “families”, Socialists are first, Liberals are second, and ecologists are third. Should the results stay about the same until the next election, the formation of our government is gonna be quite interesting.

How the fuck is PVDA/PTB the third largest party?? Guess the Cold War was all for nothing if now a quarter of Belgian is supporting commies. This party should never have gotten even over the legal voting limit.

I’m surprised that the loses of VB are being transfered to Groen and CDenV. Especially Groen hasn’t done much to make itself more popular lately.
I just feel that no matter what I vote it doesn’t matter. If politicians who seemed to come from humble origins and showed potential (Sihame for example) are corrupt, what choice do I have as an average Joe? I just don’t know if voting for any party even matters if it’s a shitstorm everywhere. If they only act in their own interests, whats even the point in becoming politician?
I’m a bit drunk writing this but it feels right to do so.
I honestly would not want to live in a country run by NVA and VB. And these polls suggest that 50% lanmark is getting closer. I’d rather pack my shit and go live in Northern France.
As climate change gets worse, it’s effects start getting an impact on alot of things (prices for basic utilities, food or climate refugees for example) extremism will rise… nothing that hasn’t been said before…
A worldwide general trend towards extremism is to be expected.
