I am traveling in Germany for an extended period of time in multiple cities so I got the Deutschland ticket. It’s been really wonderful not worry about messing around paying for tickets everywhere I go. Especially as I’m new to Germany. It’s saved me a lot of stress.
However, I’m off to my next city tomorrow and would like to use my Deutschland ticket to get from Munich to Nuremberg. I used DB app to search “regional trains” to find one that would work since the ticket is not valid on ICE and most intercity trains.
The website says:
“Deutschland ticket is not valid on trains operated by DB Fernverkehr AG or other long distance providers such as FlixTrain (eg IC, EC, ICE, as well as RE operated by DB Fernverkehr AG)
I’ve also read people saying you can’t use it for long distances…however, I found an RE train Munich to Nuremberg that I THINK will work – the DB RE1 München-Nürnberg-Express.
Can anyone help put my mind at ease to confirm? I’ve attached a screenshot of the train information.

Yes it is valid on this train.
In general: By now the D-Ticket is even valid in almost all of the IC/RE-Hybrids operated by DB Fern. Only the three lines around Berlin are not included by now. Here some more information: https://www.bahn.de/service/individuelle-reise/fahrrad/nahverkehrsfreigabe
