Fine Gael, Fianna Fail, Sinn Fein, Labour, Greens, SDs et al have handled the Israeli-Palestine conflict quite well, unequivocally condemning the heinous actions of Hamas while also criticising the Israel’s government predictably brutal response to them.
Of course, there are unfortunately lots of daft cunts online who think because they did the former they mustn’t have done the latter. These cunts are right now trying to score precious points by claiming that the number of decapitated Israeli babies isn’t as many as first reported.
Ok then fucking do something about it. Only EU/US nations have the political power to stop Israel.
would it be unacceptable for ukraine to hit a russian power station?
Absolute nonsense. Regardless, we spend far too much time worrying about *what ought* instead of dealing with *what is.*
It matters very little if anyone thinks putin targeting power stations is unacceptable because the invasion from day 1 was unacceptable.
This response is very good from Varadkar. This will send the folks over on r/europe into heart failure. Jesus they really hate us over there, I have always thought of myself as a proud European but these last few days am feeling much less so.
Normally I despise FG/FF, but to be fair to them they’re approaching this conflict with the nuance it deserves. Honestly surprised at how fairly it’s been handled by all parties in the state- even Richard Boyd Barrett on the news the other day had a fairly decent take on the issue, albeit phrased a little poorly while the interviewer was going mental at him.
As the rest of the west seems to be giving Israel free reign to do whatever war crimes they want, at least we’re showing some sense. It’s appalling seeing fucking Putin of all people with more sense than EU or US politicians, but I haven’t quite lost as much faith with our own bunch yet.
