This is something that actually annoys me in Belgium. And I truly hate where the pedestrian lane is suddenly interrupted by someone’s lawn. I always just walk over it because the whole situation is abnormal – am I supposed to walk on the road with cars?
Then we wonder why we cannot have decent infrastructure like they do in the Netherlands or Denmark.
One tile of sidewalk left? This is quite decent by Belgian city standards.
