  1. Because Israel is just firing blindly into the cities

Edit: dislike this all you want you zealots. That doesn’t change the fact that they’re bombing civilians for revenge

  2. Serious question: How exactly does a country like Israel get to prove to the world or the UN that their attacks are reasonably targeted? Do they have to record the intelligence that motivated the attack and if so what’s the level of scrutiny on it? Could they be brought to trial after all this if there is evidence that they fired indiscriminately into Gaza?

  3. Disregard for the UN and other NGOs has always been standard operating practices of the IDF. Lesser-known NGOs working in Gaza to promote any number of humanitarian efforts have always faced harassment from the moment they land in Israel to crossing the border into Gaza to performing everyday work. It didn’t matter what your NGO did, you were targeted because for some reason, providing medical care, teaching English, and fostering entrepreneurial interests all work “against Israeli interests”.

And, for those of you without historical perspective, anyone traveling to Gaza has to use Ben Guiron airport because Israel bombed the only airport in Gaza and plowed up its runways in 2002 *despite* the fact that Israel controlled most of the security functions and all passport checkpoints. The closest Egyptian airport didn’t used to be an option because the only border crossing at Rafah is often closed and — just a day ago — was closed indefinitely by Israel and then bombed by them to underscore their sincerity about unrestrained cruelty to the general population.

It’s going to be more than a ‘humanitarian crisis’ — it’s genocide.

  4. “Nine United Nations staff members have been killed by Israeli airstrikes in Gaza since Saturday, the UN’s agency for Palestinian refugees confirmed Wednesday.”

The headline of the post fails to mention that it was Israeli airstrikes that killed them. It’s pretty important to keep track of who is doing the killing.

  5. It’s incredible the mental gymnastics people are going through to justify their hate for Israel.

People are reacting as if Israel went out of its way to purposefully kill those people.

Gaza declared starter a surprise war by actively targeting and murdering hundreds of innocents.

Israel, declare formal war. Informed population of where they were going to be. Instructed non-combatants to leave.

Many people have not left, for many reasons, and they are sadly finding themselves in building that are crumbling on top of them.

Hamas chose to make Gaza into an all-out warzone. It is not remotely safe to be there.

  6. seems like israel just doesn’t care anymore. everything/everyone is fair game.

  7. They were told to evacuate. They didn’t. This is unfortunate but unavoidable, especially since Hamas stores arms inside and underneath UN-affiliated structures.

  8. Maybe the UN should stop hiring people who aid in the slaughter of children

  9. So basically a repeat of what always happens. Hamas kills a bunch of civilians then hides among residential buildings, schools and hospitals. Israel air strikes their bases then the bleeding hearts cry about dead civilians. Hamas refuses every peace deal offered, they want this war. This is all on Hamas.

  10. Blame Hamas, not Israel. They are the ones who sent a bunch of murderous rapists into Israel like it’s the middle ages.
