Israel is also saying Iran had no part in this. I truly wonder what Israel has to gain by keeping Iran out of this issue. They’re open enemies and Israel regularly assassinates people on Iranian soil, nuclear scientists and terrorist leaders. Why be absolve Iran of any wrong doing here? I wonder what the real reason is.
“We can’t believe that the terrorists we armed for decades did terrorist things”.
Everyone was surprised? I find this difficult to fathom
Iran was surprised, and Israel, but Egypt wasn’t?
With the amount of planning, training, and equipping that would go along with an operation like this, it’s hard to believe that word didn’t leak out or something wasn’t noticed on a satellite
I wonder if some rogue/reckless members of Iran’s military/Revolutionary Guard helped Hamas behind Tehran’s back, would explain a lot of things.
Feels like an attempt to deescalate, and I’m supportive. It gives Iran an out and doesn’t make them think “we’re already being blamed, might as well jump in.”
If this can be contained between Palestine and Israel it’s the best outcome to not let this creep into a world war. Similar to Ukraine/Russia not spilling over (directly) into Belarus, Macedonia or Poland and Syria not (directly) spilling over into Turkey and Armenia/Azerbaijan’s conflict staying mostly in the NK region.
I think this is more “crowd control” information
russia would sure love it if the west was busy fighting iran right now 🙂
So Egypt knew something was coming but Iran didn’t? Or just didn’t know the day?
Israel wasn’t surprised, though. Egypt had warned them days before.
Sure they were
Thank god lol. Listen the West can have the West and the East can have the East. No reason everybody needs to be all nitty gritty. I truly feel bad for the Palestinian state but they crossed the line big time. Where are the rich superhero’s coming to the rescue?
The biggest elephant in the Gaza strip is Turkey. Iran is not the only supporter of Hamas. Turkey supports Hamas.
Israel caught Turkey shipping tons of explosive material for rockets to Hamas a few weeks before the attack. Who else other than Iran does not benefit from Israeli-Saudi normalization. Turkey, the other regional power of the region.
Unfortunately Israel is dependent on Turkey for most of its oil via Azerbaijan, a satellite state of Turkey.
How credible are these “unnamed sources”? The former US ambassador to the UN publicly said that Iran was responsible. A former US ambassador willing to speak on the record seems to be more credible than these “unnamed sources”.
If confirmed it might be something to hold on to to avoid spilling this to the rest of the region.
*”Surprised”* because they started a whole week earlier than planned.

Sure….
Precisely the impression that Iran intended, no doubt.
Dam it…where’s reverse gear on this aircraft carrier ?
Yeah I’d wager bet they stoked, funded and help plan this.
So Russia knew but Iran didn’t? Unlikely. The relevant parts of the IRGC had to have known, Hamas is their proxy
