Was supposed to be done for Summer 2023. I think the whole thing is a bit ridiculous. Could they not enact a temporary measure while the legislation is being reworded?
Just basically say, places can open as late as the proposed times and the gardai will turn a blind eye, can’t really see the harm if they are planning on doing it anyway?

Insurance.
(I’m truly heading for 40 if Insurance is the first thing I thought of here)
I feel like ive been reading nightclubs will be open late and escooters will be legal next summer since 2018
Should you really have nightclubs stay open until 6am
2 am is more than enough you will have drugged drunk drivers
If you look at violance after clubs close in uk
You would need to double garda outside every club, the only one winning is big drinks company’s and nightclub owners
main analyses suggested that each 1-hour extension of closing hours was associated with a statistically significant increase of 4.8 assaults (95% CI 2.60, 6.99) per 100 000 inhabitants per quarter (i.e. an increase of about 16%)

Makes no difference.
There is feck all night clubs left and majority won’t stay open that late as their staff won’t want to work that late.
It’s nearly symbolic at this stage
I feel bad for all the poor fuckers stuck living close to nightclubs.
If Ireland win on Saturday night it should be trialed out for the bank holiday weekend.
