A Steve Scalise victory to be speaker means that the farthest-right wing of the Republican Party would be in complete control. Scalise has refused to say outright that the 2020 election was legitimate, instead remaining loyal to Donald Trump.

Does anyone know why they didn’t skip over Scalise and pick Stefanik? Don’t get me wrong, she’s terrible, but doesn’t have the baggage of scalise or Jordan? Am I applying logic that doesn’t exist in the GOP?
When someone shows you who they are, believe them.
Better than the monster that is Gym Jordan, that guy is a true believer Christo-fascist, but Scalise is obviously a disgusting degenerate of a human being. Hopefully the moderates (who obviously were enough to keep Jordan out) can curb Scalise’ worst impulses (which aren’t much different than Trump’s other than he says the racist stuff a bit more quietly).

Well, the other option was Jim Jordan. The difference between those 2 is like that between 6 and half a dozen.
If you call yourself a “moderate” anything and vote for this guy over Jeffries. Then you are not a moderate.
Remember when Scalise got shot at a congressional softball game and said he was going to turn over a new leaf? He got much, much more corrupt and evil.
