By: Ulyana Vynogradova – Volunteer paramedic from Denmark, Oskar Alexander Koksvik Johansson, was killed on the frontlines. He saved the lives of Ukrainians during Russian shelling.

The tragic news was announced on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Pastoral Ministry in Denmark – UGCC.

Since the outbreak of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, 2022, this Danish volunteer, without hesitation, began to actively help Ukrainians – “I did what I thought was necessary: from transporting an ambulance and other medical equipment to saving lives in the most dangerous areas of the front. Before going to Ukraine, he was baptized in Sankt Ansgar Kirke – København, and the local priest became his godfather.

We believe that selfless love and acts of mercy will settle his soul where the saints and the righteous are,” the message reads.

  1. Glory to the heroes, may your sacrifice be remembered eternally.

  2. Combat medics are human supermen/women irl. A freedomfighter in his own way.

    Hvil i fred. RIP
