Food counter in a supermarket in Skopje serving hot food. I wish I can get something convenient and affordable (proper lunch meal for as low as 2 €) at home in Germany.

How much do they earn there? Is it as affordable for the locals as it is for you?
Where green?
Wo ist der salat? Kein Salat? Oh, nein!
Do you also wish you had their salaries?
I don’t get why this isn’t a thing in western Europe. In UK it’s like sad pasta salads and sushi for ready food and that’s it. In eastern Europe you can get quality meals ready to eat or take home.
I wouldn’t buy this tbh, has been standing around for hours. It’s like some work canteen food.
I’m sure that being a German chef you are aware of how much different prices for materials and labor are in Germany compared to a non-EU Balkan country, right? Even Greeks up here in the north cross the border over to North Macedonia to take advantage of the cheaper prices.
That said, I’m happy you got to taste some Balkan cuisine. Anything you liked in particular?
still its probably all with meat
