  1. Yeah well it does…

The whole statement is illogical – if it doesn’t apply then why worry if it prevents you from running for office. This is playing both side…

“It doesn’t apply BUT if it does applies… it doesn’t prevent me from running for office….”

Its the narcissists prayer… I mean its actually the narcissists prayer in one sentence.

  2. I’d love to see Biden repeat the same thing and the MAGA idiots lose their shit. Fuck these people

  3. > “Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment does not prohibit someone from running for office—it prohibits someone from holding office, and even then, only if Congress chooses not to lift the prohibition,” a Monday filing by the ex-president’s lawyers reads.

Is this not essentially a huge admission of guilt?

  4. His fucking insanity should prevent him from holding office. As it should have in 2016.

  5. Oh, so he’s admitting he led an insurrection now?

The Special Counsel’s job just keeps getting easier.

  6. “As long as you play an invisible accordion, they let you do whatever you want!”

  7. I totally forgot that Trump was a Constitutional scholar.

  8. Interesting

I would have thought they would have argued that Trump didn’t engage in an insurrection.

  9. Trump claims a lot of stupid shit… best not to give his comments any oxygen.

  10. possibly the framers never anticipated that the holder of the highest office of the land would be a complete ass

  11. Well we all know what he’s worried about now lol…

  12. Oh good so now he’s admitting it was an insurrection attempt and he’s switching to the i’m actually immune from being punished for it.

  13. This is a typical Trump tactic. He talks in circles and contradicts himself. His mouth, like a sewage pipe, is constantly spewing word salad. The whole tactic is to muddy the waters beyond recognition. This is intentional. He keeps you busy trying to make sense and confuses with all of the lip service. The big key is not analyzing his words but his actions.

  14. You can say something all you want but that dosent change things. This is how little kids think when they get called out on their bad behavior.

  15. If HIllary had won and did 1/100 of the things he did, Trump would be the first person to demand she be disqualified.

  16. I wasn’t so sure, but now that he says that it doesn’t… trump is pretty reliably wrong, right?

  17. One of the reasons of all those problems is keeping an important piece of law which is mostly 250 years old, with amendments which are also way past their reasonable expiration date.

The country I live in also has a constitution from 18th century. It is an important part of our history and as such, we keep it in a museum and for everyday use have a constitution created 30 years ago. Which is also slowly showing signs of aging.

  18. Yes it does

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
