To go ashore on Kjerringøy, that first day of june. (i dont have context so it migth be a little of, Kjerringøy is a peninsula close to Bodø.

A fun fact tho; It’s taken from the first line of the song “Kjærringøy” by the world famous (at least in Norway) singer/songwriter Halvand Sivertsen.
I live close by. Kjerringøy is a former trading place north of Bodø. The old harbour and farm is noe a museum. I think less than 200 people live in the area, but there is a school there. As mentioned in another comment, it is a peninsula. More correct, Kjerringøya is a really small island just west of the harbour, and everyone lives on the peninsula. But since the landscape is extremely alpine, it’s difficult to build a road there. So you take a ferry instead (from Festvåg to Misten). So one interpretation is that the song refers to taking the ferry and then go onshore (gå i land). The other is to take ypur own boat to the real Kjerringøy and be by yourself. But the rest of the lyrics reference a whole lot more whitch makes me believe in the ferry-version.
