  1. Um…no. You kicked the hornets’ nest , this is what happens.

  2. ‘If Israel sets free all the territories occupied by it in Palestine, the assault will also end, the Palestine ambassador further said.’

That approach worked really good in Gaza but I think he means the whole land that the Palestinians claim.

  3. Ah yes ask the one country to intervene which basically founded the Non-Aligned movement. Didn’t work for the Cold War, didn’t work recently and probably won’t work now. Doesn’t hurt to ask I guess.

  4. Some side that is not Israel or Hamas needs to step in and propose a peace process.

Neither endless terrorist attacks nor ethnic cleansing should be acceptable.

  5. India is literally pro Israel and considering the horrible relations between them and Palestine, it’s not happening

  6. They may have tried with the last government, not with Modi’s.

  7. Pretty much all non Muslim Indians are fervent supporters of Israel (mostly because they are for anyone who opposes Islam, mostly because Pakistan)

    They won’t help the Palestinians.

  8. Yes India, resolve the crisis by convincing Hamas to stop their murder sprees.

  9. LoooooL

Should have thought about that before you started beheading children.

Fuck hamas, and fuck everyone who wants them to keep ruling Gaza, those “innocents” have blood on their hands too.

  10. When you have more military than medical supply, you know where your priorities are.

  11. Indians are the nicest people on the planet, and they will never support Hamas.

    That says something.

  12. The reality is most countries (even the Arab ones) and the average citizen understands and agrees with Israel even if they pay lip service otherwise.

No country would give away its right to do exactly what Israel is doing if something similar happened to them. It’s not just the US or West but every country understands.

China executes terrorists and their families (even if not complicit) as a deterrent to protect their citizens. Singapore executes foreign drug traffickers to protect their citizens from falling victim to drugs. If you think those countries disagree with what Israel is doing or think the response is ‘overkill’ – I have a bridge to sell you.

  13. India remembers when Islamic extremists invaded and killed civilians in a bloodbath. Good luck.

  14. Fuck around and find out. If you throw 5000 flowers at me I will throw 50,000 flowers at you. Should have given some thought before you started throwing stuff.

  15. “Look, we can cover for your boys whacking a Canadian citizen but you’d better toe the line on Israel.”

  16. This situation could use a little chicken korma.

  17. You’d have better luck with Nauru resolving the crisis over India siding with Palestine.

  18. Makes me wish the UN wielded actual authority to intervene effectively in these types of tragic situations.

  19. As an Indian, not happening, like not even a chance, especially when we have an election next year.

  20. India, Please step in and stop this madness which we have started!!!

Not gonna happen, but I guess everyone is allowed desperate measures in the face of annihilation…..

  21. I am sure Israel would be delighted to allow India to step in to resolve Gaza crisis. Israelis would be happy to make its air force bases available for refueling and rearming of the Indian Air Forces to make the resolution of the Gaza crisis as swift as possible.

  22. India cultivated a good relationship with both sides for two very different reasons. Israel became a strategic supplier of military hardware during India’s wars with Pakistan in the late 20th century, contrary to all other Western-aligned powers which supported Pakistan. On the other hand, Palestine was recognized almost immediately by India due to the continuance of some stances adopted by Gandhi during the independence movement: namely showing solidarity with Indian Muslims on international issues that mattered to them, like retaining Muslim control over the territory of Israel/Palestine.

The math in Gandhi’s time was simpler: Hindus didn’t care one way or the other but Indian Muslims would feel supported, creating the rare opportunity in domestic politics to gain points with one group without losing points with the other. Today, the government has to be mindful that in this globalized and integrated economy in which it seeks to play a bigger role, any move it takes could affect Indian interests, and it is no longer sensible to let a minority within a minority dictate the approach.

Plugging the numbers into that geopolitical formula: currently Israel continues to be a valued military supplier and trade partner whereas Palestine doesn’t quite rise to that level. All in all, it’s unlikely that Gaza will receive any support from India beyond statements urging restraint in the use of force against civilians.

  23. While our government may take the typical diplomatic middle ground, Israel is heavily favoured by the masses.

  24. Like what? Ask Israel to negotiate instead of war? Israel reply Palestinian should think of negotiating before attacked and killed Israeli.
India to send army and troops? One problem, in between a US battle group is there? India want to try to power of US latest Supercarrier? US is now so piss HAMAS screw up their plan of normalised relationship between saudi and Israel.

  25. Sorry, we have lost our own civilians and soldiers( thousands) to terrorists with same agenda as Hamas, majority indians can never justify rape, degrading a dead body, decapitating babies, killing innocent people who don’t have anything to do with the conflict, holding women hostages ( like a coward). So Fuxk Hamas and all those who are showing even a little bit of sympathy towards them.

  26. As if Mumbai wasn’t sullied by Islamic extremism in 2008? Give me a break. Good bye Hamas.

  27. I think India will not entertained such s request. India is very pro-Israeel since 1971 war.

  28. With the exception of Russia, Israel is perhaps India’s closest aly. For example Israel sold artillery shells to India during the kargil war. No one came to India’s help except Israel. Two countries and people are close. With all that said I can’t see india getting in the middle of this beyond some humanitarian aid. But elections are coming up so we might seen some wildcard act but nothing that changes anything at the strategic level.

  29. They’re going to cry all they want to BRICS it won’t stop Israel this time from taking Gaza. Maybe Israel makes a temporary corridor to the West Bank to evacuate civilians. Then it’s boots on the ground.

  30. Outsourcing allies because not so popular with the neighbors?

  31. BJP: could Gaza fit a few more Muslims, we have ~170m to spare…

  32. Not gonna happen because this is a terrorist attack .

  33. Like every Israeli after serving in the IDF visits Goa. It’s like Daytona Bch for Israelis in their early 20’s. They do typical spring break shit, damaging hotel rooms, smoking weed wherever they walk and general debauchery but India rightfully enjoys that more than when Hamas visit like the Mumbai attacks. Indians are always welcome in Israel and vice-versa. Both countries have existential threats from Muslim extremists.

  34. They could encourage Hamas to release all hostages, surrender all militants that attacked civilians, disarm, and disband the Hamas group.

That would end the conflict immediately.

  35. This “Palestine Envoy” is from the Palestinian Authority of the Fatah/PLO party located in West Bank.

This group is considered the legitimate govt of Palestine by many countries including India.

Fatah also doesn’t like Hamas which rules Gaza because Hamas literally threw them out of Gaza in 2007 after winning elections.

I’ve heard that this PA govt, Fatah party etc is on the payroll of Israel, and from what i see that is the case.

The envoy, all the Arab nations govt reps and the Indian govt if pushed to give a statement will still bleat about a “Two State Solution”, now that’s not likely to happen but such are empty diplomatic statements.

However Israel is a much more valuable partner to India by itself, as compared to Palestine which has no value by itself and is seen only as an appendage to the stronger and wealtheir Arab countries like UAE and Saudi, who seem to have dumped the Palestinian cause for economic pragmatism.

  36. This reminds me of what once happened when I was just a little kid. Me and my friend were stupid enough to throw stones at the entrance of a ground bee nest. My friend was crying for his mommy after a swarm of angry bees came after us and he got stung multiple times. For some reason the bees didn’t appreciate someone coming to kill them and to destroy their nest that they had worked hard to build.
