  1. Cheeky line before ploughing the fields… you haven’t lived till you try it

  2. “affected” my bollox.

How hard is it to not huff a load of shit up your nose, or stab yourself in the arm?

They’re not victims, they’re just drugies.

  3. You ever try farming not high? It’s boring as shit.

  4. Read that as they get higher from them for a second. Be an interesting controlled study group

  5. Brought to you by the rigorous investigation team at Irish Country Living.

  6. Statistician “hey who lives in rural Ireland between 18 and 30?”

    Survey “farmers”

Statistician “well they must be the ones taking drugs”

  7. That headline is really interesting.
If it was unemployed people in Dublin living on the street, I imagine the headline would be vastly different.

I read it as, young farmers are the biggest funders of drug dealers and criminals in Ireland.

    Lads,don’t snort the farm like.

  8. I know loads of them and they all think they’re some level of tougher or more invincible than townies so I think many of them get mixed up in it thinking they can handle it no bother and learn the hard way.

  9. How many young farmers aged 18 to 30 are there in Ireland?

It’s a headline grabbing statistic, but most people in Ireland live in or near to the big cities.

I’d hazard a guess that young farmers aged 18 to 30 are using drugs at a similar rate to young people whose parents own a home in Irish cities. And those whose parents don’t own their own homes are using them at a higher rate.
