It’s quite unbelievable that after more than 50 years of occupation, and a long list of war crimes so many in Europe are suddenly ‘siding with Israel’.
I don’t like the Palestinian cause but simping this hard for Israel is also kind of cringe. The fundamental issue that Bartje does get right however is this: you should not pick the “decolonial” cause over the colonizers, but civilization over barbarity. The cause of decolonization is by no means morally better than their colonizers, as we’ve seen in Rhodesia and Angola. You should ask yourself: which between both sides is capable of building a thriving, advanced, and prosperous country on their own?

War is not the answer.
This is a crazy terrorist attack. In any other setting we would all have been appalled and would have supported the victims.
Except now it seems. The terrorists were apparently forced to brutally slaughter women and children. They had no agency.
