With so many people in this cult, the cult has become normalized. Hell, half the members of Congress support this cult.
Friends and family members (those that can do it safely). Chip away at the movement from the outside in. Fracture it. Most of it is peer pressure. A few charismatic individuals and a lot of cowards afraid to cross them and eager to impress in order not to be ostracized from their social group. They have all lost decent friends and family members over tfg who were their tether to normalcy and who brought out the best of them instead of the worst. Try approaching them one more time. Worth a shot. That’s all I can think of.
The problem is the media keeps dancing around the primary motivator for Trump supporters. That is racism how do you deprogram a society that has been built on racism that for all intensive purposes likes it. Remember 20% of Republicans think the idea of the Emancipation Proclamation is a bad idea. I’ve watched countless videos on YouTube interviewing Trump supporters there’s nothing to do program they like who they are they wish to be this way. Moreover it will continue to be this way until the United States addresses its cardinal sin if it does not give him time this country will fall apart. And they like that too
Hillary just needs to shut up, this election is already tense enough. The last thing we need is her gumming up the works, throwing out horrible euphemisms that will do nothing but embolden and push away people.

I think the hardware is the problem, apparently conservatives have bigger disgust/fear parts in the brain, so they feel those things more strongly and find it difficult to believe people who invoke those emotions in themselves aren’t out to get them in some way. It pretty much entirely defines their politics despite claiming facts over feelings, they’re mostly concerned with their feelings, stretching facts to the breaking point to put a thin veil on that.
There is no fixing the ones that are still with him. If they have come this far, they are going all the way. Be it because they are that brainwashed or they have so heavily bought into the sunk cost fallacy. They are in for keeps.
She has been correct about nearly every predication and spot on with every statement. Our country would be in far better shape if she won in 2016. Hundreds of left/moderate judges, 3 left/moderate Supreme Court judges. America fucked up so bad in 2016 and we are following those same steps in 2024. In order to deprogram conservatives, politicians would need to step away from neoliberalism. The culture war bullshit being used to cover corruption and greed is how we got here. Republicans have gone mask off, and Democrats are still pretending they can work with them because they know if they truly did what the American people want (better healthcare, higher wages, consumer protections, etc etc), the rich people who fund nearly all of their campaigns would be angry and remove their help. This infrastructure of course hides behind free speech, a radical Supreme Court and an insurmountable amount of money. How are you going to tackle that? Thoughts?
