  1. Only 1 club in London. Personally I’m looking forward to the Pennine derby between Leeds and Newcastle

  2. How is notts county and forest in two different places but there’s one club in Manchester and one in London

  3. Nice to see Brentford have relocated several hundred miles north.

  4. Telford QPR, Anglesey Everton, Brentford northumberland, Rotherham cunthorpe, Blackburn keswick.

  5. People watching this in the US probably think Blyth Spartans are the biggest team in the North.

  6. I don’t know about you lot, but the intense rivalry between Newcastle and Carlisle seems to have died down in recent years…

  7. Ohh yeah I totally forgot Brentford was up north. How silly of me.

  8. Apart from the insane locations why were the clubs on this map chosen? It seems a very bizarre selection.

  9. Not sure how anyone could turn that in and think ‘I did a good job with this’. I mean this would be marked down at Primary school, but the production company loved it.

  10. Where is the pride of Kent, their only EFL team, Gillingham? We’re in Wrexhams league too 🤦

  11. You would have to have zero understanding of English football AND be shit at your job to fuck this up so badly.

  12. The Devon Derby between Cardiff and Swansea. Legend has it the rivalry started over whether the jam or cream comes first.

  13. Attendances at Birmingham City definitely took a hit when they made the odd decision to move to…*checks map*…Ludlow

  14. So? They are Clubs and they are English. What’s wrong with this picture

  15. I realise it’s only a map for a mundane documentary about a mundane club in which everyone will get bored about soon. But with my love of maps this has triggered some internal rage in me. That map is insultingly awful.

  16. OK hold on a minute. I think you’re misrepresenting it someone, friend.

I just watched that episode. That actual graphic is on the screen for about 3 seconds. It’s not intended to be a representative map of all the clubs. The introduction is just there to show that clubs from all leagues participate in the FA Cup.

“It’s a competition of underdogs, and is held in very high esteem in England and Wales”.

The show in my opinion does a very good job of representing the minor leagues and the overall sport.

  17. Wdym? Southampton football club are clearly based in the New Forest/Bournemouth now!
