Joel McHale played Chevy Chase in “A Futile and Stupid Gesture” and it was one of the best parts of that movie.
Chevy Chase has been notably difficult to work for and with for decades.
wow, Chevy. What an asshole.
Man, I hate that Chevy is a turd person. I loved this man in everything he’s damn near been in. I’m a fan of his comedy. Not of a fan of him being a total jerk. But, this is why we don’t idolize famous people. They’re more than likely AHs
All Chevy had to do was be a good teammate and dial back his ego like 5% and it could have been an all time Hollywood comeback story. Chalk it up to age chalk it up to pride. He fumbled. And every time he talks about it he makes it extremely clear to everybody.
It’s pretty funny that he basically played himself. A racist, narcissistic old man in the show and in real life lol
Damn. Final bridge burned. McHale had been pretty diplomatic in the past.
Nobody likes or has ever liked Chevy Chase. Some people have tried to make excuses for him, but even they don’t like him.
It’s so crazy. I’m going through a rewatch of the show right now and Chase’s character is clearly a caricature of him and how difficult he is, and yet it’s still very funny. All he had to do was just not be an asshole. That’s it. They all fed off of each other so well.
