If I’d have to bet, I would say that those were Putins orders. It coincides with his order to stop the counter attack in the beginning of October and they just threw loads of people and gear under the bus.
It’s a good thing that they fired general Armageddon, because now they’re just uselessly flailing around and trying to find out what sticks. It’s not strategy any more. Just deadlines and unrealistic goals.
I really hope there will be no confirmed gains by the end of the week. Massive losses are already clear.
