  1. Good on France. The world needs to make a choice. Are we going to allow the promotion and celebration of terrorism in public squares, or not?

  2. It’s behind a paywall:

France on Thursday said it was banning all pro-Palestinian demonstrations after the bloody attack on Israel by Hamas, on the grounds such protests threaten to public order.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said in a note to regional prefects that the demonstrations “are likely to generate disturbances to public order”, adding that organisers should face arrest.

As of Thursday, Hamas attacks had left more than 1,200 civilians dead on the Israeli side. The Gaza Ministry of Health said that 1,400 people, including 447 children, were killed.

The Israeli army has reported nearly 170 deaths among its own ranks and on Tuesday claimed to have counted 1,500 bodies of Hamas fighters on its territory.

    This story is ongoing.

  3. Palestinians: “Hamas doesn’t speak for us!”

Everyone else: “Great! Want to go out on the streets of international cities and prove to the world you don’t stand with them by marching against Hamas?”

    *crickets*

  4. Hopefully they’ll ban the zionist rallies too. Disgusting display in New York the other day

  5. Calling for the emancipation of Palestinians is not the same as glorifying Hamas or antisemitism. This is the French government engaging in Islamophobic rhetoric as they have done in the past.

  6. I don’t support these protests whatsoever and think they are abhorrent, HOWEVER I also don’t think banning protests is a good move no matter what. That’s how you start down the path of banning dissent.

  7. The energy vampires and trolls are fit to burst with all the “it’s either this way or no way” grub being served.

  8. Let’s see if they will ban the Zionist protests like the one in New York. Literally people calling for the genocide of Gazans.

  9. Lmao at the people applauding this move. You can’t champion freedom of speech while declare what is acceptable. If anyone is committing crimes, arrest them. Don’t put muzzle on people.

  10. In a protest in Australia the “peaceful” protestors were screaming ” gas the j*ws” it’s so shameless and disgusting what some people are cheering and supporting

  11. Hate to see it but this was likely very much needed. Too many of these ‘pro-Palestine protestors’ were actually just there to celebrate the killing of Jews.

  12. It seems that freedom of expression in France only applies when it comes to burning the Quran?

  13. I don’t know what precedence France has for this, did they do the same for pro-Russian protests, assuming there was anyone in France that cared enough to want to protest for Russia

France has a huge Muslim population and protests from them tend to be violent, on the other hand France has a huge White French population and protests from them tend to be violent. C’est la vie

  14. As an Israeli I’m a actually sad that they banned these protests. They just show the world how much ‘hate-Jews-group’ and not ‘pro-Palestinians’ they are

  15. Finally an EU country actually doing something right

  16. All EU countries with Muslim enclaves which can potentially radicalize, should be concerned. Very concerned.

  17. Man if the French decide to ban your protests you’re probably a major piece of shit.

  18. There’s a difference between pro Palestine protest, which can be legitimate and pro Hamas protest (terror support).

Hamas is actually the enemy of the Palestinians, most of them just don’t understand it

  19. So you ban pro-Palestinian protests but not pro Russian protests, wtf? The Hamas Palestinian thing is bad but nowhere near as bad as Russia

  20. And Darmanin ordered that… just as those protests were planed to convene. Absolutely not a move to get the max of people arrested and provoke troubles so that this bs can be justified *ex post.*

  21. Great. Palestinian protesters tend to yell gas the jews without having any shame..

  22. Maybe some here should read about Islamic terrorist attacks in France. The French have good reasons to ban this crap.
