There is this legal thing that if somebody (like a mailman, courier) trespasses your property (for any reason) and your dog is running free and attacks him/her you (as an owner) will have less trouble if you had this warning posted on the door.
In other words, having a warning on your door that your dog is running free / “dangerous” might be useful if somebody comes in and is attacked by your dog on your property. That way your line of defense will be that there was a warning and it’s not your fault that somebody decided to ignore it

It’s not just a Polish thing.
